Collette found the sacred practice of yoga over 20 years ago and followed her heart to become a teacher over 17 years ago. Moving to Hawai’i from Minnesota, Collette has dedicated much of her life to serving the North Shore community and the North Shore Yoga Co-op.
Throughout the years she has studied various styles of Hatha yoga, including Ashtanga, Viniyoga, Vinyasa Flow, Restorative, Yin, and Meditation. As life changes, so have her practices and desire to learn
more about the subtle layers of mind, body, and spirit. Spirituality has become a major part of her life through meditation and self-study. Understanding we are in our human form, she strives to meld the inner and outer realms in our day-to-day lives. All these experiences have to lead to the present moment offering classes at The Co-Op in Gentle Yoga and Mindful Flow & Philosophy.
Collette has volunteered heavily in the community and schools since having her daughter 13 years ago, including bringing yoga into the Elementary School. She also is very passionate in the kitchen, and during the pandemic went back to school to obtain her Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts and currently works for Chef Robynne Mai’i at Fête.
The deeper layers of the path of yoga have created many powerful shifts throughout her life and she is privileged to share these blessed teachings with you.
